This is a smaller version of the larger The Flax Quilt.

Again, based on a design developed for the 2018 NI Linen Biennale 'Lost in Linen' exhibition. It is a wholecloth quilt in dark blue Irish Linen, which was woven at Flax-Mill Textiles in Co.Derry, N.Ireland.

The stitching pattern takes its inspiration from the leaf of the flax plant, and is entirely hand stitched by me, using Japanese sashiko thread. The quilt contains 100% cotton inner wadding, natural oatmeal coloured linen backing and is hand finished with double edged blue linen binding.

The size of this quilt makes it suitable for draping over the bottom of a bed or on a couch, or even wrapping yourself in it! Comes with its own bespoke linen presentation bag.
